If you have ever been to a Claremont High School football game, you have probably seen Alyssa Guerrero. As a proud member of CHS video production, she enjoys filming short films for the school such as the Every Fifteen Minutes program, alongside filming football games.
Guerrero’s favorite time of the year is football season, as she enjoys attending the games to cheer on her school, hang out with friends, eat, and–of course–film.
Advice Guerrero would like to tell underclassmen is to put yourself out there and try new things.
“When I was put into Video production for my freshmen year I did not relish how much I would actually like making films.”
Guerrero will be attending the University of California Los Angeles in the fall of 2026 as a psychology major. Once she completes college, Guerrero hopes to attend med school to become a psychiatrist. She also will continue creating and directing films during her free time.
Guerrero would like to give a special shout out to Ms. Bodnar for being an amazing psychology teacher, motivating her further to pursue the practice.
“[Bodnar] has taught me so much, and she sparked that passion that I want to continue for my career.” Guerrero said.
Watch out, because one day, you might see her working on a film or helping out her patients as a psychiatrist.
