There is only one answer as to who the most humble person on campus is at Claremont High School and that is the one and only Gaby Mussey. Gaby is incredibly intelligent, even managing to score a perfect 1520 on the PSAT and achieving a National Merit Scholarship. While she achieved much during high school she also endured challenges; specifically, she found struggle with college applications.
“I feel like the application was actually such a stressful time, but it made me realize that everything works out in the end. You can’t really predict what’s gonna happen and you kinda just have to see how things play out in life.” Gaby said.
Gaby transferred from Florida to CHS going into her junior year and she has already left a mark on Claremont in her two years here. An example of this is the immense amount of time she poured into the Zen Den to make it a place students can reset and have a place to relax. Gaby has made many memories and gained plenty of wisdom over the course of high school and has some advice for younger students.
“Realize that nothing is ever really that serious like you’re gonna fail a test, it happens to everybody, mistakes are bound to happen you just kinda have to accept it and move on and realize mistakes are part of learning.” Gaby said.
Everyone who knows Gaby knows she is a very hard worker and can achieve whatever she puts her mind to,such as being accepted to her dream school, UCLA. After graduation, Gaby has plans to take her passion for engineering to the next level.
“I’m going to UCLA to study electrical engineering, and I chose that path because I really like circuits and I have some experience with it in the past. I thought it would be a good fit for me in the future,” Gaby said. She has found her path and passion in electrical engineering. It was an honor to have someone like Gaby at Claremont High School.
