When you hear Kaiser, you may be reminded of the insurance company Kaiser Permanente, but for those at Claremont High School, Kaiser stands for Miles Kaiser. In the fall, Kaiser is off to the University of California, Davis, and plans on majoring in neurobiology, physiology, and behavior.
On campus, Kaiser is a captain on the swim team, a three year member of the water polo team, in Link Crew, and the co-founder of the Student Wellness Center (SWAG). In his free time, Kaiser enjoys “road running and risktaking”.
When reflecting back on these past four years, Kaiser fondly recalls all his memories with his friends, which he will cherish for the rest of his life. “I’ll miss my friends and the swim team; they’ve made my high school experience irreplaceable,” Kaiser said.
Looking into the future, Kaiser is ecstatic to embark on this next journey in his life. “I’m excited about going to college, immersing myself in different cultures and different environments, and I’m excited to start my path to my career,” Kaiser said.
At Davis, Kaiser is looking forward to continuing his swimming career on the UC Davis club swim team and continuing his triathlon training.
Before he moves on to his next stage in his life, Kaiser would like to shout out his friends Cooper, Ian, Alex, Andrew, Garrett, Afshin, Chris, Reyna, Gabby, and Joy, as well as Dr. Robledo, Ms. Bodner, and Mr. Tucker, for making his high school experience unforgettable.
As his parting advice, Kaiser encourages students to get involved.
“Try things that you might not even like, things that you would never expect yourself to start, because I never thought of myself as liking joining swim, and then it ended up being my favorite thing about high school.”
