Three students at Claremont High School born within moments of each other but who have very different ideas for their future. These are the Delgado triplets: Nathan, Caroline, and Elizabeth. Many have seen and interacted with the triplets, but few know where they are headed after high school. For Caroline Delgado, it was always a no brainer.
“I took AP bio my sophomore year and I really liked it and I always excelled in cellular biology,” C. Delgado said.
She looks forward to further study at University of California Santa Barbara next year, continuing to use the expertise she learned at CHS. However, academics is not all there is to university; C. Delgado was quick to share her intent to fully embrace the lifestyle that comes with it.
“I look forward to meeting new people and partying on weekends,” C. Delgado said.
Finishing off her take on the future with an incredibly down-to-earth sentiment: “I guess I’m looking forward to an education.”
There are many people that C. Delgado remembers fondly, but she would especially like to shout out Mr. Mohammed Mangrio for all he has done for her.
“[Mangrio] is really entertaining and makes theater fun,” C. Delgado said.
Nathan Delgado is headed off to become a Warrior at San Diego State University where he plans on studying statistics. N. Delgado has said he is sure to join his sisters in taking the academic rigor of university by storm.
“I feel like for my sisters they are more dedicated to school so they plan on taking it very seriously,” N. Delgado said.
Nathan enjoyed going to football games the most: the Friday Night Lights, hanging out with his friends on the team, are some of his favorite memories of his year. On the topic of friends, N. Delgado would like to shout out Luke Labbe and Max Leeper as quality friends.
Elizabeth Delgado is on her way to Citrus College to study cosmetology. This path was clear for E. Delgado due to her past affinity of hairstyling.
“I just enjoy doing my own and I do my sister’s hair for special occasions and it’s just very relaxing for me” Elizabeth said.
- Delgado’s sights are not merely set on a future of curls and cutting, though. For the past four years, she has been a vital member of the CHS Girls Soccer team and plans on taking her skills to Citrus. The Citrus College girl’s soccer team finished second in their league, and E. Delgado is sure to be another treasured member of the team. Briefly reminiscing on the past, Elizabeth shares her favorite high school class, that being sports medicine.
“[My favorite memory was] doing yoga in the MPR, when our teacher Mr. Snap got really into it and started acting like a Zumba instructor” E. Delgado said.
As these triplets’ part ways, the Delgado family is bound to experience a number of new experiences. Without the shadow of a doubt, each triplet is bound to succeed in their field of interest. From the many who have admired the Delgado triplets, thank you all, and best of luck!
