Ryan Fass puts the double “s” in business

Ryan Fass puts the double “s” in business

If you have ever seen a musical, play, or choir concert produced by Claremont High School theater, it could not have happened without Ryan Fass. Fass is a graduating senior who has made his mark on the arts program at CHS and will be deeply missed by his friends and teachers.

Heading to Pitzer College, one of the 5 Claremont Colleges, Fass is excited to study organizational studies. Organizational studies are studies of business which focus on sociology. Making the world a better place is important to Fass, as he loves to do community service with the Interact club at CHS. Fass wishes to continue this work at Pitzer as that very service is what led him to organizational studies.

Over Fass’s high school career he has been deeply involved in the arts. He is a section leader for choir chamber singers as well as the choir treasurer. He has been in musical theater for four years and this year he will be performing in the musical Between The Lines as a supporting character. Beyond acting and singing he is also very involved backstage. Fass is a leader in every branch of the theater, but he particularly enjoys audio and lighting. It is well known that he will be there if there is a problem or a need for a production. Fass is going to take advantage of Pitzer’s liberal arts curriculum where he will stay involved in theater and choir. However at CHS, both Fass and his contributions will be deeply missed by the theatre and the community he has built there.

Fass has gathered immense wisdom over his four years at Claremont High, and hopes his advice will help incoming freshmen and underclassmen.,

“Just expand what you know, have fun, and explore different things.” Fass said. “Honestly, you never know what you’re going to study, do not dead set yourself on something, explore your interests.” Fass will miss the freedom and community of CHS, especially his friends Jacob Polomaro and Zzyzx Cervantez, but he is also ready to leave high school, to explore, and to make an impact on the world.

Nick Godwin, Reporter
Nick Godwin is a sophomore at Claremont High School and is in his first year as a Reporter for the Wolfpacket. Godwin joined the Wolfpacket staff because of his love for writing, which he not only exhibits during school hours but also during her free time. Along with writing, a large part of Godwin’s time is devoted to musical theater at CHS. He not only enjoys performing on stage, but also likes helping create sets for the productions and working with the technology behind the scenes. Godwin is also fascinated with nature, especially plants, and spends much of his time walking around Claremont to get to school, to play with his dog, or just as a fun pastime. He especially enjoys walking in Claremont because it is a very different environment from other cities he has grown up in, as he recently moved to Claremont from a rural town in Minnesota, promptly before starting his freshman year at CHS. Godwin is excited to spend his time with the rest of the Wolfpacket staff this school year!
