Homecoming Prince: Drew Mowbray
An avid sports fan and also an athlete that has been playing basketball for eight years, Homecoming Prince Drew Mowbray is very excited to be on court and thinks it is a great experience for him and the other candidates as well.
“I feel really good about being on [court],” Mowbray said. “Not a lot of people at the school get to experience this, so it’s honestly a great opportunity. If I won, I would be very happy and excited.”
In his free time, Mowbray enjoys playing video games and listening to different types of podcasts and music.
While being a big fan of bodybuilding class, Drew Mowbray also has a passion for both basketball and football. Hitting the gym and constantly keeping his body in shape is an activity that Mowbray does every single day. His fiery passion for football and basketball has inspired his pursuit of a sports career during college.
“If all doesn’t work out, I’ll probably study in a medical aspect that helps athletes,” Mowbray said. “The college on my mind right now would be NAU (Northern Arizona University) and a couple of schools outside of state.”
Mowbray also wants to thank his family members for supporting him throughout his high school year career, especially his mom, who encouraged him to push forward and not give up. Mowbray would also like to give some heart-warming advice for the students that are currently in lower grades, and reassure these students as both a friend and a senior who has a tremendous amount of experience.
“You just gotta get those good grades and just work hard every single day. Everything will definitely come your way if you work hard enough!” Mowbray said.
