Exceptional center defender, sports fanatic, and CHS senior Justin Tinajero is the February Athlete of the Month. Tinajero has been on the Varsity Boys’ Soccer team at CHS since his sophomore year. He has been avidly playing soccer since he was only four years old and, since then, been on a multitude of club soccer teams including Claremont Stars, Celtic, and now Foothill Storm where he currently plays.
Last year, Tinajero received the incredible honor of making the list for First Team All League. His team also won the San Gorgonio tournament twice. One of Tinajero’s best memories on his team include playing a game in a rainstorm during CIF last year and getting the 2-0 dub.
“Never stop playing and don’t take the sport for granted because there will come a day when you aren’t able to play anymore,” Tinajero said.
When Tinajero is not playing soccer, he can be found playing football, watching football, soccer, and hockey, listening to music, or just chilling with his friends. Tinajero would like to give a shoutout to all the fellas and his girlfriend Liz Chua. Congratulations, Justin!
