Makeup Expert: Kendall Chraplewski

From shopping for beauty products and watching YouTube videos from various beauty influencers, to attending beauty conventions in LA, I suppose one could say that the beauty industry has a large role in my life. Though I have many other beauty products I adore dearly, two that I use on the daily that stand out to me are the beautyblender and the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer.
To briefly review each of these products, I will start out with the miraculous beautyblender. I call this product miraculous because my discovery of it was nothing short of a miracle. For those who are not aware, the beautyblender is an egg-shaped sponge used for makeup application. For those who may be better versed in Twitter memes, the beautyblender was the center of an internet challenge where girls texted their boyfriends a picture of the beautyblender to see what they thought it was. The answers, which ranged from an egg, to a clown nose, to even a stress ball proved to be quite amusing. In my humble opinion, the beautyblender reigns supreme to the typical makeup brush.
The Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer is yet another beauty product that has become one of my favorites. For those of you who are not aware, Fenty Beauty is a relatively new brand, having launched in 2017 by Rihanna and founded principle of inclusiveness for women of all different skin tones and types. As stated on the Fenty Beauty website, “Rihanna was obsessed with creating the perfect gloss that makes you want to put it on over and over again.” She certainly did this with the Gloss Bomb, which is essentially a shiny, rose nude colored lip gloss. In addition to looking stunning, the shiny, non-sticky Gloss Bomb has an addictive peach-vanilla scent.
Although I am no cosmetics expert, I hope that you try out some of these life-changing (no exaggeration here) products that have brought my makeup game to the next level. Some may say that a little lip gloss will not make any difference, but I like to say that it all depends what type of lip gloss you use.
