Girls’ Soccer Lisa Beans
The CHS girls’ soccer team is a strong group of girls who put a lot of hard work and effort into their playing. But while the girls’ are playing, there are people behind it planning and organizing events. Sadly, not many people recognize them as the booster parents of the teams who work hard voluntarily to help the team. Lisa Beans, one of the girls’ soccer booster parents plays a big part in the success of the team and has allowed them to have the opportunity of playing for their team.
Beans’ responsibility as part of the team is to coordinate info between parents, coaches, and board members to help make plans for the season. Her and the other booster parents provide for the team by organizing the food and equipment. They manage their events and coordinate times.
Beans mainly chose to be the booster parent of the team because she wanted to be involved with the school and see her daughter and her teammates enjoy their time playing for CHS. Her daughter Savanna Beans loves soccer and playing with her teammates. Her mom has always supported her and loves to help and watch her grow with the sport. She enjoys her experience being the parent booster and loves the group of parents involved in helping the team.
“It’s a great group of parents and everyone involved is committed to making the program a success,” Beans said.
Not only does Beans have to manage the team, but she also has her own life to tend to. She is very busy and not always able to attend every booster meeting, however she tries to make herself available to help out whenever possible. She is self employed, but that allows her to be flexible to support her kids in their school activities. She always makes time to help out with her daughter’s team.
“It’s important to support your kid however you can.” Beans said.
Beans loves her job and being involved. She voluntarily works with the girls’ soccer team to organize events and make plans. Booster parents like her are very important to sports teams because they are the backbone of the group and her and the other booster parents should be acknowledged for all the time and effort they put into the soccer team in supporting their children.
