A Mythical Endeavor: Princess Kylie Robinson and Prince Xavier Reynoso

Princess Kylie Robinson

Energetic, sarcastic, and ready to begin her life after high school, Kylie Robinson is one of this years homecoming princesses here at CHS. Well-known for her years in varsity track and varsity volleyball, Robinson’s time here is filled with memories of her amazing friends and the pep rallies that she will soon miss as she completes her last year at CHS as a senior.
Already, Robinson will be attending the University of Oregon to play on the university’s volleyball team. While volleyball is on her mind, Robinson also plans to major in environmental biology after taking a recent interest in giving a helping hand to the world around her. Robinson is still focused on the now and what she will be doing while attending college but will take life as it comes.
On Robinson’s bucket list, she wishes to travel constantly; she wants to just get on a plane and travel to a random place without a care in the world. In fifty years, she sees herself surrounded by family and her loving pets, completely happy with how her life has evolved from a varsity volleyball player, to an environmental biologist, to living a calm happy life surrounded by the ones she loves.
While freshman year is three years in the past for Robinson, her advice for underclassmen is to view high school as one of the most important times of their lives.
“Enjoy everything because high school does go by really fast and these are some of your biggest memories and some of the most important times of your life,” Robinson said.
Robinson likes the person she has become and everything she has accomplished in her years at CHS and thanks her friends and family for making her into this person. The role model that has had one of the biggest impacts on Robinson’s life is her past teammate Simone Bliss for not only the friendship she has gotten but also for her good nature.
“She is really level headed, she is confident in herself, but things don’t really shake her that often,” Robinson said. “She’s not only really good at volleyball, but she is really smart and overall doesn’t get offended easily and is overall an amazing person.”
While Robinson’s high school career is coming to a close, she accomplished all that she had hoped for in the last four years. Keeping her memories of her friends, classes, and volleyball team close will be good to look back on as she moves onto a new chapter of her life in college. Her nomination for homecoming queen will stand beside these memories in the years to come.

Prince Xavier Reynoso

Athletic, courageous, and immune to stage fright, Xavier Reynoso has accomplished many things while attending CHS. The founder of the Turtle Club, a fierce competitor and captain in Cross Country, and an inducted Thespian in Troupe 2129, Xavier enjoys singing and performing in theater, where he has made many of his greatest memories. One remarkable experience with theater was when he performed at Bridges Auditorium. As part of his role, he was able to fly around the stage in a harness. In addition, during spring break his junior year, his class went to New York City and watched five Broadway shows: Dear Evan Hansen, Come From Away, Groundhog Day, Miss Saigon, and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.
Although he has plenty of courage when standing in front of an audience, Reynoso would never go skydiving or bungee jumping. In three words, he would describe himself as friendly, athletic, and creative. Reynoso’s advice for underclassmen is to maintain in strong pursuit of their goals and to not be afraid to do what makes them happiest. If he was to change CHS, he would without question have late start every day.
After high school, Reynoso wishes to go to Cal Lutheran to run on their cross country team, use their Abroad Study program, but most importantly take advantage of their pre-dental program to become an orthodontist. He plans to double-major in biology and musical theater. Once college is finished, and he completes medical school and grad school, he intends to have a green Camaro with his own house and be an orthodontist.
The role models that have had the biggest impact on Reynoso are the Mutant Ninja Turtles. He likes them because they are his favorite reptiles.
“First of all, they’re turtles, and second of all, they’re super awesome because they have ninja skills. Superheroes save the day all the time!” Reynoso said.
Reynoso’s friendliness, energetic, and approachable attitude will propel him to the top of the world as he leaves the Wolfpack.
