Black Panther: Wakanda Forever pays tribute to Chadwick Boseman

There are a multitude of forms of tributes to people who have passed away such as statues, monuments, and plaques. How about a movie?
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was an extremely heartbreaking movie, but not only because of the many deaths of heroes like those of Iron Man and Black Widow in Avengers: Endgame. But because of the death of not just an iconic hero, but an amazing actor. Chadwick Boseman’s tragically young death affected the entire plot of Wakanda Forever. Marvel Studios decided not to replace Boseman’s character, T’Challa because there is only one Chadwick Boseman.

With T’Challa gone, the spotlight now shines on his younger sister Shuri (Letitia Wright). Both she, her mother, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), and the rest of Wakanda take a journey into a world without their beloved king. They are confronted with the problem of protecting their kingdom from the attacks of other imperialistic nations that seek to acquire their resources and technology. Charming new allies are made, old ones resurface, and daunting new enemies emerge.

The superb acting and cast combined with the masterful cinematography, witty and powerful dialogue, and outstanding soundtrack make Black Panther: Wakanda Forever a must-see film for Marvel fans (especially those disappointed with the previous sequel releases) and understandably has become the 6th top-grossing movie of 2022. Boseman’s legacy is honored and will live on through this beautiful film sequel.
