Prom Court: Quintin Giles-Gray

With a persistent cheerful deposition, it is no surprise that Quintin Giles-Gray is on the Prom Court. Possibly one of the most outgoing individuals at CHS, Giles-Gray has a devotion to his community and is involved with numerous on-campus activities. When he is not busy with his duties as ASB class representative or as a link crew leader, Giles-Gray works at Bath and Body Works all while  competing with the CHS varsity cheer team. As he fills his time with impressive extracurriculars, Giles-Gray is also passionate about the volunteer programs he is a part of like working as a kids cheer coach and spending his summers working at the YAC summer camp. Despite keeping a full schedule outside of school, Giles-Gray carries the responsibility of his many advanced classes, including his favorite African-American Literature class with Ms. Zavala, and dedicates himself to maintaining a steady work-life balance.

A social butterfly through and through, Giles-Gray is excited for the new adventures he will have as he continues his journey at California State University of Fullerton. He plans to major in nursing, a testament to the care he has for those around him, and to continue with cheer through the next four years. One thing Giles-Gray will not be looking forward to about college is the all-nighters as he directs a message to underclassmen to do their best to avoid them.

To Giles-Gray, the experience of being on Prom Court is a special one, as one of his favorite memories of high school was his junior prom, this one is expected to be even better. He also wants to thank his family and friends, and anyone else who chose to support him in the nominations.

“I feel really honored and grateful for the people who really wanted to nominate me since I’ve wanted to run for Prom Court since my junior year,” Giles-Gray said. “As always, #speakingfromtheheart.”
