Yearbook Hosts Holiday Raffle to End the Year

CHS Yearbook is hosting a raffle to increase yearbook sales. The raffle ends today Dec. 19, and the winners will be announced on the Wolfcast. One goal for this organization is to sell their yearbooks to a greater majority of CHS students. To reach this goal, Business Editor and senior Brianna Watson planned a raffle that was designed to encourage students to purchase yearbooks earlier in the year. The raffle is projected to positively affect the sale of yearbooks and Watson is hoping the potential winnings from the raffle will increase yearbook sales by at least 25%.

“Currently, only half the school bought yearbooks, and it is my goal to get at least three quarters of the school to buy a yearbook this year,” Watson said.

Those who have bought yearbooks prior to Dec. 19 will be entered in the raffle, and consequently have the opportunity to win prizes like an iPad mini and Lakers tickets. The raffle winners will be announced on Wolfcast on Friday Dec. 20.

“The majority of the people wait until the end of the year to buy a yearbook. We have to tell the publisher in the middle of December how many copies we need printed, which is why we’re pushing to get the orders in sooner, in order to get a better idea of how many to print. People can wait until the end of the year to buy a yearbook, but buying them now ensures that they can win an iPad or Lakers tickets,” Yearbook Editor-in-Chief and senior Claire Sears said.

Buy a yearbook and support the school, and also get the chance to win a new iPad or Lakers tickets!
