During the April Fools issue of 2022 for The Wolfpacket, reporter turned editor Carson Paul realized his true calling: a desire for satire. This was a monumental moment for Paul, a young lost sophomore. Paul claims none of the editors liked him, so he decided to utilize this opportunity and create his very own section: the Satire Section. A section where journalistic rules do not apply. Unlike other sections, it created the freedom for reporters to be funny, share opinions, and use the “forbidden” first-person in their articles. Paul’s rebellion shall be remembered in the history books of the Wolfpacket and forever in our hearts. Paul is the only satire editor. Before there was Paul, there was no light, no joy in the Wolfpacket, only unfunny, serious, unsatirical, hard-hitting, and fact-based articles. With his own creative freedom, Paul has explored different endeavors within his section from “real” relationship advice to the one-hit-wonder, “It’s Wolfpacket Bro.”

About the Contributors

Julia Little, Assistant Features Editor
Julia Little is in her junior year and an Assistant Features Editor of the Wolfpacket. Little is a hard-working young woman with not enough extracurriculars, or maybe a little bit too many; she hasn’t decided yet. Although she isn’t in Speech and Debate (like most of the hooligans on the Wolfpacket staff). She is strong and brave on stage, doing Comedy Sportz, which she revels in greatly. Aside from being funny on stage, Little is a member of the program Art Start, where she runs around elementary schools and teaches art to fortunate young minds like hers. This year, Little has decided that being artistic and funny isn’t enough and has chosen to enroll in the International Baccalaureate program for a smidge of academia. Little is convinced she is not going to quit halfway through the year. One of Little‘s greatest achievements is being an active member of the cheese connoisseur club. She has climbed up the ranks and become the social media manager of this slightly foot-smelling club. Little‘s favorite part of the Wolfpacket is the microwave and refrigerator. Her motto is “The paper needs to be fed and so do I,” and she will stick by that for the sake of not having low blood sugar during fourth period and being a bit of a butt to the other members of the staff.

Kate Mitchell, Co-Head News Editor
Kate Mitchell is eager to start her senior year at CHS as the Co-Head News Editor and one of the social media managers. The Wolfpacket has impacted Mitchell tremendously throughout her three years on the staff. She has learned so much from her fellow staff members in and outside of fourth period. Mitchell is excited to spend her senior year back in room 104 with her Wolfpacket friends. Switching from Features to News Editor this year, Mitchell is ready to see all the new ideas this section will bring to the front page. Outside of the packet Mitchell is starting her 13th year of Girl Scouts as an Ambassador, hopefully she will finish her Gold Award soon. She also enjoys concerts, traveling and traveling to concerts. Over the summer Mitchell went to the Eras tour in Munich, Germany well kind of… She stood outside of the Olympic Stadium alongside 50,000 other swifties just enjoying the atmosphere and slightly jealous of the 70,000 swifties inside watching the show up close. As Mitchell finishes up her college applications and boat loads of homework she hopes to find some time to enjoy all of the fun activities senior year has to offer!
