When Bae is Bey[oncé]

There are many inspiring celebrities in today’s society that are well-known for being fierce, beautiful, strong, and worthy of worshipping. For senior Mikayla Holzinger and junior Michael Santiago, celebrities such as Demi Lovato, Beyoncé, and Tatiana Manaois, have had huge impacts on their lives.

For Holzinger, Demi Lovato and Tatiana Manaois have proven to be her favorite artists. There are plenty reasons as to why the two female singers are placed this high up in Holzinger’s top charts.

“I admire Demi Lovato’s courage, and how she’s used her dark situations in life and turned them around to help people who are in the same situation,” Holzinger said. “She is also incredibly breathtaking Not to mention she is beyond talented. Tatiana writes all of her own music and has her own style that you can’t really seem to find anywhere.”

Holzinger has been a Demi Lovato fan since she was in the sixth grade, when her best friend introduced her to Lovato’s music; she found out about Manaois while she was in San Francisco this past summer. She has seen Lovato perform at the Los Angeles County Fair around two years ago, but has yet to see Manaois live.

On the other hand, Santiago adores the well-known singer Beyoncé. Her well-roundedness as a dancer, singer, mom, and musician, amazes him, along with her ability to spread equality throughout the entire globe.

“When someone like Beyoncé is so influential, it inspires me that she tries to make a difference in such important issues,” Santiago said.

It all started when Santiago watched Beyoncé’s Dangerously in Love Tour when he was five. Eventually, when he was 13, he began to follow her music on social media. Over the summer, he went to Beyoncé’s On the Run Tour where his admiration grew even stronger. Some of his favorite songs include “7/11,” “Flawless Remix,” “Haunted,” “Baby Boy,” “Diva,” and “Countdown,” along with his personal favorite album, “I Am Sasha Fierce.”

Both of these celebrity lovers are very well-known when it comes to their favorites. These students have become famous themselves for their admiration of their favorite famous stars. Holzinger appreciates Lovato’s music and beauty, but mainly how she helps others who are going through dark times. Santiago is also very inspired when it comes to Beyoncé and her amazing strength. They look up to them, whether it is to be fierce, a great singer, or an amazing person that is changing the world.
