President-Elect: Gavin Wride
Here in Features you will find the recent winners of the ASB elections. You will also find each student’s biography, written before the elections were held.
Junior Gavin Wride is running for ASB President. Wride chose to run for President in the hopes that the role would add diversity among his busy schedule of band and high leveled classes.
“I have wanted to be President for my high school since I was little and I have what it takes so why waste potential?” Wride said.
Wride is a good leader and easy to relate to. His goals are to make everyone here at CHS feel included and to have more amusing activities, including group bonds at game nights and other fun recreational activities as a team.
Wride has been a Cub Scout since he was eight and is still a part of the club where he volunteers with kids and helps when he can. He is also in the school band and the CHS gaming club.
Wride has plenty of new ideas from “dressing like your teacher” to having a stand up comedy day at lunch. Also, to have more school bands, to decorate the office into a different theme every month, more lunchtime activities ,and to hang posters all around the school so students can decorate as they like.
