Whether they are counting down the days until they graduate, experiencing severe senioritis, or already teary at the thought of leaving Claremont High School, the reality of being a senior is sinking in for the Class of 2026. The Wolfpacket talked to CHS seniors to ask what their ‘26 bucket list looked like. From political projects to football games, it was clear they were determined to make the most of their final year here at CHS
Fiona Wu, the founder and president of the CHS chapter of the Women’s League of Voters, has big aspirations for the Legion. Wu hopes to pilot the first student-led voter curriculum during her senior year.
Dorhle Davila Mendoza, another figure in the young political scene here in Claremont, also shared her senior bucket list. “I want to establish CivicAct to help students on campus and enact initiatives and programs [like] the student union,” Mendoza said.
Many seniors want to be more involved on campus by attending CHS events. Sports games, dances, and theater shows are among the items on their bucket list; Anais Talbots Meza is one of them.
“I want to go to as many school events and games as possible for my senior year to make up for the past few years I didn’t,” Meza said.
On an academic note, there is certainly a common theme between these seniors. Those who are taking AP or IB courses are eager to pass their exams and be done with the intense workload of these classes.
To all who feel like their senior year is only getting longer and longer: make a bucket list, have things to look forward to, and rock that Peppa Pig backpack.
