Student Sustains Serious Injuries from Skateboarding Accident
A CHS student was involved in a serious skateboarding accident on Indian Hill this afternoon. A helicopter was employed to treat the student, who suffered head and possibly neck injuries. The student was transported to Children’s Hospital of LA for further treatment.
The helicopter landed in the upper baseball field near Cahuilla park, West of the Taylor Hall and the Youth Activity Center (YAC). Girls’ Softball was holding tryouts in the field prior to the helicopter landing, and many students were skating in the park or spending time at the YAC.
Updates received throughout the week will be posted.
