CHS club feature: Interact Club
CHS has a variety of clubs that are very active in the community. Interact Club is a Rotary-sponsored service club. It gives its participants a chance to be a part of fun and memorable service projects. The students that partake in Interact perform at least two projects a year. The club has displayed many great fundraisers for both El Roble Intermediate and Claremont High School that go to great causes in the community, including its Scare Away Hunger fundraiser and Blaze Pizza fundraiser for Shelter Box. On top of fundraisers, the club participates in many activities around the community that correspond with helping others, such as Tree Planting, Bike for Kids, the Shoes That Fit drive, Holiday Hunger Campaign, and more, all purposed to benefit the community as a whole.
Sophomore Connie Yan has been a member of Interact since the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. She enjoys helping better the community and being involved with such a well-operated club.
“I believe that Interact is a very welcoming club,” Yan said. “This club has many service events where we get the chance to help out the community and I just think it’s very nice that we as a club can help others by volunteering.”
Interact Club actively works hard to improve our community as a whole. By putting in the time and effort to achieve all their services, Interact makes a big impact on many throughout Claremont.
