Queen Stella Wong
Stella Wong is ecstatic to begin her senior year as a Homecoming queen. However, this is not her first time in a ball gown. In July, Wong competed in her first beauty pageant. She placed in the top five at the state level and will compete at the national competition to win the Miss Los Angeles County title this November. When she is not competing, Wong participates in many extracurriculars: including National Honours Society, Interact, varsity Water polo, and ASB treasurer.
“My favorite thing about ASB would be the bonds I have created with alums, and current members. ASB truly is my second family, and I am forever grateful to work with such inspiring people everyday,” Wong said.
Wong was ecstatic to find out about her nomination. She is proud of the person she has become, and hopes to make a lasting impact at CHS.
“I was shocked when the freshman came into the room with my name on the poster. I was surprised to have made the top 15, let alone court!” Wong said. “My heart has continued to be so full and happy since that day. We have such a diverse court this year. And every person on it is so inspiring and deserving.”
In the future, Wong hopes to study psychology or neuroscience at UC Irvine or Santa Barbara. She wants to treat those who suffer from mental health issues as either a psychologist, therapist, or neuropsychologist. Wong loves to spend her free time volunteering and assisting others, She hopes to continue to do it within in her career.
