“Rest Easy” Cassidy Rose
On the early morning of March 27, the class of 2017 lost one of its own as senior Cassidy Heller passed away. To those that knew her, Heller was famous for her generosity of heart and laughter, for her infectious happiness, and for her unwavering spirit. She is remembered by her friends who mourn her lingering brightness every day, her family who has lost a child too early, and by her peers who will remember her story as a cautionary tale of a girl who always lived life on the edge.
“She was crazy, and she was funny,” close friend and senior Hanna Teal said. “She had a cute little laugh. She had the best intentions, and she had so much potential.”
Heller was born on May 28, 1999 and attended Chaparral Elementary and El Roble before attending CHS. One could find her going on mini adventures with her friends throughout Claremont, working out at the gym, lounging at the beach, Netflixing and shopping anytime and anywhere. She was free with her friendship and seemed to know everyone. Heller was never one to back down from a fun time or a to-be-made memory.
“She was one of the happiest people I had ever known,” another close friend and senior Laura Bicksler said. “She cared so much about other people and always wanted to make other people happy. She had so much love in her heart.”
