Annie Boos and Tess Rounds Set School Records for Distance Events
Already off to a fast start, the Girls’ Track team has already set two school records. Junior Annie Boos broke the 1600-meter (four laps) record with a time of 5:04 in the dual meet against Ayala, and sophomore Tess Rounds broke the 1200-meter (three laps) record in the distance medley relay at 3:48 at the Arcadia Invitational. Since they were both able to break records within only the first few meets they have competed in, Boos and Rounds hope to continue to train hard and break their records moving on in the season.
The track team’s hard work and training during preseason is already showing through their initial meets. It will be an exciting season with Boos and Rounds competing against themselves this time for another school record.
