Vice President-Elect: Katie Chen
Katie Chen can be seen around campus playing tennis, running Interact meetings, or working in her current ASB position on Inter-School Council. Chen has had many years of experience being a leader around CHS and also outside of school. She is the secretary of Interact and has worked with ASB since El Roble.
Chen is also active outside of school with sports, her church, and is a student representative for the Claremont Educational Foundation (CEF). This is a program that fundraises in the community to help public education within Claremont. As a representative for CEF, Chen practices listening skills and forms her own ideas and views on things.
“Church has taught me the value of building relationships and the importance of always giving it my all,” Chen said.
Chen chose to run for Vice President because she enjoys being a leader and seeing different groups getting involved on campus. Her goals for next year are to encourage kids who go to CHS to get more involved in all the different varieties of clubs that are here on campus.
Chen is excited to be running for Vice President for the 2015-2016 year and plans to make a big impact on the school. She looks forward to making a difference at the school by using her influence to benefit the student body as a whole.
