Lucien Roy, better known as Luke Roy, even better known as The Guy From Wolfcast, is a golden retriever—which he sheepishly agrees with. For anyone who knows Roy, has watched him on Wolfcast, or heard him commentating play-by-play at football games, this does not come as a shock. In fact, in any setting, Roy’s unwavering positivity shines bright. As president of the Sports Media Club, co-host and co-director of WolfCast, and vice president of the French Club, Roy has experimented in different leadership and academic roles throughout high school. His favorite high school memory is when he and his two underdog classmates beat the straight-A, speech-and-debate students in a teacher-judged Henry the Fifth reciting for Mr. Chamberlain’s AP Language course.
Roy, whose secret passion outside of becoming a prime-time sports broadcaster, chases the high of roller coasters, spreading positivity and love of life with every coaster he rides outside and in school. He hopes freshmen learn from his ride. “Don’t be afraid to do stuff because you’re afraid it’s gonna conflict with school, or too much of a time commitment,” Roy said. “Leaving high school with regrets will be much worse than anything else, like being late a day on an assignment.”
Luke would like to shout out his best friends since elementary school, Charles Divorak, Scarlette Sanders, Lucia Sanders, Azure Sanders, and Coupe Repulto, as well as his co-host of Wolfcast, Kaitlyn Zhang.
