Senior class president, head captain of both the varsity sideline and competitive cheer team, and self-proclaimed princess- there is nothing Paola Garcia can not do (except eat nuts, as she is allergic). Those who know Garcia know that of the many talents she possesses, her outgoing personality and ability to connect with anyone she meets are among her biggest attributes. When asked her thoughts on being a Homecoming finalist, Garcia said,
“I am just grateful that the student body believed I should be in the top ten. I think that if I were to win, it would symbolize that I have left a positive mark on the school, and it would make me feel extremely seen and loved.”
Garcia has certainly left a positive mark through her immense participation and unwavering drive to help within the community. On campus, Garcia is involved in a multitude of activities, aside from cheer captain and class president, Garcia has been a valuable member of the track team for four years. She is also the president and founder of ‘Hands of Hope’, a club dedicated to donating to and creating care packages for patients at the Pomona Valley Hospital. In addition, Garcia is president of the club ‘Say Yes to the Dress’, co-president of Claremont High School’s National Honor Society, and has been an outside reporter for the Wolfpacket for three years.
“I would not rather be doing anything else, I love being extremely involved and busy,” said Garcia, “One of my passions is giving back to the community that has shaped who I am today.”
Garcia would like to thank her parents for creating endless opportunities- making the sky the limit, her twin brother, Luca, for always looking out for her best interest, and her friends Fifi and Isla for always being there for her.
