Famously known for his spectacular outfits, incredible historical knowledge, and decked-out letterman jacket, Lyle Llewelyn Otis Midieros is the pinnacle of character. Those who do not know him have surely heard about him.
At CHS, Midieros is the captain of the cross country and track team, head drum major of the CHS band, Head Satire editor at the Wolfpacket, and Head Chancellor of the Cheese Connoisseur Club. Outside of school, Midierious has a range of hobbies, including being an avid Boy Scout on his way to earn his Eagle badge, a sergeant at the Civil Air Patrol, and a competitor at the national rocketry competition.
Midierios’ proudest achievements in high school include qualifying as an individual for the state cross country meet and earning a five on the AP U.S. History exam.
In the near future, Miderios aspires to continue his passions beyond high school.
“My biggest goal right now is to attend the United States Military Academy to continue serving people and serving my nation,” Mideiros said.
Miderios would like to shout out his bandmates. “The Claremont High School Marching BandWolfpackwolf pack is one of the greatest groups of people that I’ve ever had the pleasure of leading and playing alongside,” Miderios said. He also gives his gratitude to cross country teammates Mario Miranda and Luka Anderson, Coaches Mark Batres and Natalie Miano, assistant drum major Sophia De La Rosa, his parents, and lastly, his favorite teachers, Mr. Shouse and Frau Tsai.
On a final note, Midierios gives wisdom learned from a civil war naval officer.
“Damn the torpedoes; full speed ahead,” Miderios said.
