Gianna Lopez is taking her talent on the field to the next level this fall. After years of hard work and standout performances on the soccer field, Lopez is officially committed to the University of La Verne, where she will play collegiate soccer on a scholarship.
Gianna Lopez has been actively involved in the CHS community throughout her entire four years of high school. She is a part of the yearbook staff, varsity tennis team, and of course, the varsity soccer team. Lopez is also a dedicated student in addition to being a multisport athlete.
Soccer has been an integral part of Lopez’s life and she is excited to continue her soccer career. During her time at CHS, she has made many friends through soccer, some of which will also be playing collegiate soccer at La Verne.
“I’m excited because I’m playing with two of my teammates already,” Lopez said. “I would like to shout out Layla Lopez, who I’m going to school with.”
Gianna Lopez has already formed friendships with other players that will be on her future team at ULV and is looking forward to a positive college experience while playing soccer.
Lopez plans to prioritize academic and athletics in college but is looking forward to new opportunities. Entering college undeclared on her major, Lopez hopes to explore her passions and expand her knowledge. With an interest in sports management, Lopez looks to pursue this passion post college.
“Things are opening up, so I’m really excited,” Lopez said.
Lopez is also grateful for her coaches, who have helped guide her through every step on and off the field. With continuous effort and passion for the game, her coaches helped give her the push towards success in soccer. Lopez would like to shout out Coach Alvaro and Coach Lauryn.
After many years of giving her all in soccer and school, Gianna Lopez is ready to start a new chapter of her life. With determination and the support of her friends and coaches, Lopez is destined for success next school year at the University of La Verne.
