Typically performing bounding flips and impressive stunts under the Friday night lights, Faith Manzo finds herself landing on two feet in the top ten of the homecoming court. Spreading her spirit through ASB and cheer, it is no surprise that Manzo stands out as one of the homecoming finalists on this year’s court.
“I was really excited when I found out I was on court,” Manzo said. “I started to look forward to all the dress shopping, fun activities, and just the overall experience.”
Manzo shares that although she does not care about winning the court, she is grateful to be a finalist and is eager to experience the frenzy of activities that come with the title.
At CHS, Manzo is involved in varsity sideline and competitive cheer, serving as a captain on the sideline team. Her passion for tumbling and performing daring flips had its humble beginning in seventh grade at El Roble. Aside from cheer, Manzo is an active member of ASB as the vice president of the senior class. She enjoys raising school spirit and has blessed the halls of CHS with perfectly calligraphed posters throughout her time on ASB.
Manzo hopes to study kinesiology, following in the footsteps of her older brother. She highly values her friends and family, making every moment spent together count. In her free time, Manzo loves to go to Huntington Beach and watch horror movies. Throughout her endeavors, Manzo has created long-lasting memories filled with those around her.
“My favorite high school memory is cheering at my first varsity football game my sophomore year,” Manzo said. “I loved the environment and being around such a good team with people I really liked.”
On a final note, Manzo would like to shout out to her mom, her friend Mia, and Isabelle Shie, the author of this article. Wisened by her time at CHS, Manzo leaves mindful advice for incoming students.
“Enjoy every year and every moment,” Manzo said. “Go to all the rallies and all the dances because it goes by really fast, and you’ll regret missing them.”
