Homecoming Prince Namsik Yoo

Although he has fallen from his two story apartment, Homecoming Prince Namsik Yoo has plans to rise and pursue his dream profession of being a mechanical engineer. Throughout his four years at CHS, Yoo has been a part of the Future Business Leader of America (FBLA) Club, the Heart Healers, as well as the Strive for Change, and Korean Club. Yoo was also on the basketball team his freshman and sophomore years.

In the near future, Yoo hopes to attend the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). The university’s engineering program also stood out Yoo and to its overall appeal.

“Helping those in poverty was something I always wanted to do since I was a kid. And being in the engineering field, I could implement my ideas to those in need,” Yoo said.

Yoo’s greatest role model is Lebron James because during the start of his professional career he was disliked, but he ignored those comments and worked his way up to become a champion. When thinking about who he is as a person, Yoo considers himself to be honest, hardworking, and empathetic
.
“Everything is earned not given. Advice to the underclassmen: join a lot of extracurricular activities, and find clubs that interact with your college major” Yoo said.

If there was one thing that he could change about himself is to become more bolder and one thing he could change about CHS is to build a new gym. As his time at CHS comes to a speedy conclusion, Yoo looks to build off his past and create a bright and fulfilling future.
