Homecoming Prince Timothy Tam
Also known as “Tim Tam”, Homecoming prince Timothy Tam is well known around campus as being a fun and comical character. Tam already has his mind set on what his future will be like: attending his top college choice,a stable career, and even a life with a wife and kids. Tam has set the bar for how he wants to live his life, and plans to meet these life goals more than anything.
In regards to where he wants to go to college, Tam has some very explicit plans. He expects to major in business throughout his collegiate years, specifically because his father said that he would not regret it. Tam’s top three schools of choice are currently University of California at Santa Cruz, University of California at San Diego, and University of California at Santa Barbara.
“In 10 years, I see myself managing multiple businesses, making big bucks, and having a successful living. In 50 years, I hope to be living with my wife and five kids (three biological, two adopted) in Claremont, and still possibly working.”
Tam claims that his favorite memory “hands down” at Claremont High School was crowd surfing at this year’s Sadie Hawkin’s Dance.
“Crowd surfing had to be my favorite moment at CHS,” Tam said. “It was worth the outcome of the situation.”
Tam has always been afraid to ask a girl to Homecoming. That all changed this year as senior Lauren Song became his date to the dance. Other than not having asked a girl to Homecoming, Tam has always wanted to drive around the school in a proctor’s golf cart, but was too afraid of the potential consequences.
Although he has a reputation for being funny, Tam thinks that the three words that best describe him are open-minded, independent, and honest. As a senior, Tam advises underclassmen to build strong relationships with your teachers, because it will help with letters of recommendation for colleges.
If Tam had the power to change CHS, he claims he would give the students more liberty and freedom to do what they please. Tam explains that if he could change himself, he would get more A’s than what he currently has. Tam has had a great high school experience and is hoping to top it off with being crowned Homecoming King.
