Lucas Grannis, Head Opinions Editor
Lucas Grannis is a Junior at Claremont High School, and a third year staff member on the Wolfpacket. He currently holds the position of Head Opinions Editor on the Wolfpacket, as well as co-executive producer for the Wolfpacket’s Promotional Music Videos Advertisement Program. Grannis is a very involved individual at CHS; he has captained Lincoln-Douglas debate for two years on the school’s Speech and Debate team, plans on joining Track And Swim teams this year, and was part of the Students Of The Year Program to raise money for leukemia and lymphoma in his freshman year. A former member of CHS' Graduation Requirements Committee, he prides himself in getting rid of TechEd as a high school graduation requirement. Although he doesn't have much free time, Grannis enjoys binge watching the latest horror show on Netflix, and talking politics with his dad. When Grannis finishes high school, he wants to start fresh by venturing off to the East Coast for college where he hopes to study law; he’s not sure what career he wants to pursue exactly but he’d love to be a corporate lawyer or state prosecutor. Some other fun facts about Lucas are that his favorite band is The Beatles, he's seen his idol (Lionel Messi) play twice (once in Buenos Aires, the other in Barcelona), and he’s incredibly excited to bring all types of perspectives and voices to the Opinions section.
