Update on CHS Prom and Graduation ceremony

With the current COVID-19 situation, CHS has experienced an unexpected turn of events. The typical high school experience is composed of dances, rallies, and graduation. However, with the unpredictable and severe nature of COVID-19, this experience for many has taken a drastic turn. CHS has had to cancel or reschedule the following events: the prom rally, the prom dance, annual senior events, and the graduation ceremony.

For the time being, there is still no exact certainty about dates or whether these events will take place due to unforeseeable circumstances. As experts have shown no concrete, conclusive results or predictions for COVID-19, it is impossible to plan events and schedule them with certainty. However, at the moment, ASB has made efforts to help make up for the time lost and still wants to provide these important and memorable experiences, especially for the seniors.

“As of now, we are still trying our best to replace those well-known senior/regular activities,” ASB President Tammi Ho said. “We are completely aware that it’s not the same experience and that there’s no way for us to recreate those events without being able to be around one another but this is all we can do.”

For now, ASB has rescheduled prom to July 25 and has postponed the graduation ceremony to July 30. Currently, there have been no updates on how these events will be planned or take place. However, ASB is exploring a multitude of options including virtual events and possibilities of other dates. There is still no certainty regarding any of these events, but the Wolfpacket will continue to update regularly.
