King Elijah Bennett

Senior Elijah Bennett, football star of CHS and discernible personality on campus, may be the most recognizable on the Homecoming Court.Bennett has had a significant impact on the football team. Playing since he was around nine, he learned quickly that he was exceptionally skilled at the sport. He began to play for CHS varsity football his sophomore year, and has been on the varsity team ever since.
“Elijah is very humble and he has the mentality of a leader,” team manager Samantha Gonzalez said. “He’s always very focused during game day and a lot of the other players have learned to be the same.”
He says this year has been the most fun, due to his personal success in football and school, as well as the experiences and memorable moments he has made thus far. Bennett has also thoroughly enjoyed being on the Court.
For fun, Bennett enjoys hanging out with his friends, listening to Lil Baby, Gunna and Emmanuel Tarsus, as well as playing Fortnite. After high school, Bennett plans to play Division 1 football in Oregon, but has yet to select a particular school to attend.
He has a little piece of advice for the underclassmen of CHS: “Work hard on your grades from freshman year, until you are done,” Bennet tsaid. ”Don’t underestimate how much they matter because your grades are one of the most important things.”
His popularity transcends past just his grade, as a large number of underclassmen are familiar with him.
