Claremont High School Theatre Presents ‘Right Before I Go’

Claremont High School Theatre’s most recent production, “Right Before I Go,” conveys an important message while contributing to a crucial cause by addressing the topic of suicide. The cast is composed of not only CHS Theatre students, but members of CUSD faculty as well. Performing faculty members range from Superintendent Dr. James Elsasser to teachers and staff from CHS, El Roble, and various CUSD elementary schools. An exciting addition these performers is Stan Zimmerman, the very writer and adaptor of the show.

The entire cast and crew are going into the show with the same goal in mind––to spread awareness of the issue of suicide and to help prevention efforts. A majority of the show consists of readings of real suicide notes in an effort to bring light to the epidemic. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Yellow Ribbon Program, The Jed Foundation, and The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Showings of “Right Before I Go” will be on November 2 and 3 at 7:00, with tickets being $20.00. Topics covered are heavy and not suitable for younger audiences.
