Boys’ Soccer Sarah Loeffler

CHS Varsity Boys Soccer works extremely hard during their games as well as their practives. However, it is not just the hardwork of the player but also the behind the curtain work that happens too as the soccer program certainly could not be where it is today without the vital help of its parent boosters.
Sarah Loeffler is one of the parents on the booster board for Varsity Boys’ Soccer. Loeffler joined once her son, Jackson made the Frosh/Soph team for the 2014-2015 season and she became president of the booster board in May of 2017. Along with her son, Loefller joined as well because she has always enjoyed being involved ever since her boys were in elementary school. While the team generally performs well, it seems to stem from all the volunteer hours and fundraisers that Loeffler and the small booster board does to benefit the team.
As much as she loves using her time to aid the team, being a parent booster is not easy. Some struggles of being the president are finding people to volunteer and receiving donations.
“The most difficult thing is finding volunteers to participate in fundraising events. It’s a time commitment,” Loeffler said.
However, through their hardships, they gathered a considerable amount via a secure website, direct donations and various other classic fundraisers. The money that is collected is used on new equipment, new uniforms every couple years, among other things. Back when there was not a website platform for your donations to go to, the board used to depend on direct donations, poinsettia sales, and the snack bar at our home games.
All in all, success from any team here at chs, is because of their players and coaches, but also the small group of loving and caring parents that dedicate their time and efforts to support their children in anyway that they can.
